Flying with a Service Dog on Norse Airways

Norse Airways allows service dogs to travel in the cabin free of charge on all of its flights. A service dog is an animal that is trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability. To travel with a service dog, it must be at least 4 months old, well-behaved in public and on board the aircraft, and remain under the control of its owner at all times. Passengers with a disability can travel with up to two service dogs. [AMZ asins='B00QHC01C2,B00AAPGA2W,B000633ZOY,B0B77BRG75']

Please note that the airline does not accept emotional support animals, comfort animals, companionship animals, or service animals in training for travel on its flights.

Booking a Service Dog on Norse Airways

To book a service dog, the owner must complete documentation detailing its health, training, and behavior, and email it to the airline at least 48 hours before the flight. It is recommended to start this process as soon as the reservation is made. There may be limitations on the number of trained service animals allowed on board.

You must ensure that the dog has the necessary documentation to travel.

At the Airport

Upon arrival at the airport, you should speak to a Norse Airways representative at check-in to have the paperwork checked. The service dog must wear an identifying jacket, vest, or harness in the airport and on board the plane. The airline will assign a suitable seat for the owner and the service dog, which cannot be in an exit row or obstructing an aisle or another passenger's space. Depending on its size, the service dog may travel on the owner's lap or in the foot space of the seat and must be attached to the seat belt via a leash.

Please note that Norse Airways may deny transport of a service dog if it violates health or safety requirements or causes a significant disruption in the airport or aircraft cabin. The owner may also be liable for any damage caused by the service dog
