Boliviana de Aviacion Pet Policies

Pets in Cargo Hold on Boliviana de Aviacion (BoA Airlines)

Boliviana de Aviacion may accept your pet for transport in the cargo hold of the plane, as long as your pet meets all of the requirements for transportation and certifications for the destination you will be traveling to.  The airline reserves the right to refuse transportation of any pet upon inspection at the airport.

You MUST reserve a spot for your pet ahead of time - to do so, you must contact Boliviana de Aviacion call center or a sales agent with the breed and weight of your pet, as well as the size of your pet carrier.  You will be immediately notified whether or not your pet will be accepted or not, as there is limited space for pets on every flight.  The reservation for your pet must be made a MINIMUM of 72 hours before your flight, although we recommend to make the reservation as early as possible as space is limited. This applies for both Domestic and International flights. These breeds may only be transported in the cabin as long as the pet meets all other conditions of transportation, the flight is shorter than 4 hours, and a disclaimer releasing the airline from liability is signed.

Breeds that are considered as "Potentially Dangerous" breeds are accepted only when transported in a reinforced carrier and with the dog wearing a muzzle. The list of breeds considered as "Potentially Dangerous" includes, but may not be limited to, the following:

The door/gate must be lockable to prevent from accidentally opening while being handled or in the cargo hold.
